What it is

Platform migration moves your online store from one system to another, like a custom-built site or an old platform, to Shopify. Done well, customers barely notice anything except a better store. Done badly, you lose products, order history and the search rankings you spent years building.

What’s included

Migration audit

A full inventory of what you have now: every page, product, app and integration, and what each one does for the business. We flag what moves across, what gets replaced, and what can finally be retired.

Data migration

Products, variants, images, customers and content moved to the new store and checked against the old one. Order history comes across where the platforms allow it, and large catalogues are scoped to size.

Redirect mapping

Every old URL mapped to its new home, so search rankings, bookmarks and links from other sites keep working after the switch.

Store design and build

Your new store designed to your brand and built on Shopify, not a theme with your logo dropped in. Moving platforms is the right moment to fix what wasn’t working.

Payments, shipping and apps

Payment providers, shipping rules, taxes and the apps you actually need, set up and tested before launch. You’ll know what the new platform costs to run from week one.

Launch and handover

The domain switched over at a quiet time, test orders run from start to finish, then a handover session, training videos and 14 days of fixes after launch.

Our process

Timing depends on how much is moving, usually 3 to 6 weeks.

Discovery

We start with how you sell now: your products, your customers, and everything your current site does that the new store has to keep doing.

Audit and plan

Every page, product, app and integration listed, and the big decisions locked early: payments, shipping, apps and what gets retired.

Data migration

Products, customers and content moved across in stages and checked against the old store, so nothing goes missing.

Design and build

The new store designed to your brand and built on Shopify, refined over two rounds of your feedback.

Redirects and testing

Every old URL redirected, then test orders placed from landing to order confirmation, on phone and desktop.

Switch over and handover

The domain moved across, a final check once it’s live, then a handover session, training videos and 14 days of fixes.
